so today after work & things I went to APM to meet up w/ Gerry - BUT by the SECOND I walked in APM I realized it's A BAD CALL - it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CROWDED!!! my gosh!!!! i can't believe it's so much ppl - as much as in Mongkok!?!?!?

And since I know Gerry MUST BE LATE I bought Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (after finishing Angels & Demons during the last trip) and then got a Hazelut Latte and sat comfortably in Starbucks - overheard a "couple" (i'm sooo sure they're a gay couple!) next table planning a trip to Vegas - i just CAN'T resist to tell them they don't have to plan for a USD200/nite budget for hotel only! my gosh!
hahaha.. i think they must feel very disturbed of me overhearing them AND actually tell them to budget less.

Anyhow, still a great day I would say :) I'll just make sure I won't go to APM during wkend / holiday as much as I can!!

haha.. my real experience.. sign up all the hotel's mailing list for monthly special. they send you the discount code every month. stayed from sunday to thursday - cheapest rate!
i used tripadvisor.com and the info from that page is pretty useful/up-to-date!
talking about vegas.. i missed vegas.. i just checked internal job postings.. there are a few jobs in vegas (!!)...oh well.. i missed the crowdiness in mongkok... last time .. i was there.. it's back in year 2001.
do you they have wi-fi access in HK's starbucks??
At least your company has branches in other location, mine's Madison only and has no plan of even opening another branch elsewhere in the States...

Most starbucks/coffee place here in HK DO NOT has wi-fi access - they've wireless internet - BUT only if you're registered w/ one of the local provider (e.g. netvigator) - yet i NEVER got a chance to try la... *sigh*

yeah, i remember Aug in Vegas isn't that fun - you walked 2 blocks max during day time and then you've to "cool off" in the nearby hotel/casino XDD
Yet i FORCE myself not to plan anything for the trip at the moment - o/w i'll get TOO EXCITED of it - afterall it's still MORE THAN A MONTH before i actually took off! hehehehehe
