Movie Review: Cloverfield

So today i SUPPOSE to go study but didn't really flip more than 2 pages *kakakaka* instead went to watch this movie - Cloverfield.

Actually I didn't even know about the exact name until I got the ticket - saw the preview trailer in MTR all the time and just wanna chk it out when it first release (earlier in HK than US!) anyway, I wouldn't say much about it - let's put it this way - if u like the "home made video cam movie" - the Blair Witch Project - and not mind the filming techniques, then I think you'll enjoy Cloverfield like I do!! i think the whole thing is great (keep audiences draw attention the whole time) - well, probably except the little side "story" of the alien / infection thingy which i hated...

alright, i won't say any further - go chk out the movie yourself!!! (and make sure you sit WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY back at the theater - you just have to get the BEST seat in the whole theater - or you'll get totally dizzied! :P

and just now i am reading facebook's fans page and found that i've missed something at the end of the trailer!! nuts!!

Tonite's treat...

so today i didn't go out (haha)... instead just rest (do nothing) *LOL* -probably the only "achievement" is giving elvin a bath *ROFL

for dinner.. just had some rice with pan friend eggs (haven't have rice for a while?!) and feel "thirsty" - so tried this red one last time Ed got on x'mas (yeah, the white twin was finished that nite already la)

hmm... first of all i'm never a fans of red. I'll give a score of 6.5 out of 10 - smell is a bit too sharp (is it b/c it's not old enough? 2006? but it said "enjoy now or cellar up to 2 years wor)... I can really taste the plum taste as stated in the label though. It would be better if it's smoother - and it's quite strong for wine (14%)

I probably won't finish the whole thing tonite la (still have to work tmr!) haha... just finished a glass.. maybe will have another glass or two la :D

P.S. btw, that notebookcooler thingy is really cool... no more cooking of pan friend egg on my keyboard! :P kekekeekee

Yuen Long Day Trip & belated gift..

work has been crazy - the earliest day i got home for the whole wk last wk was yesterday (Friday) - but still i didn't get home until 9ish

u know, i really hope that they won't get rid of me after the contract - when all the things are on system and no need such great man power @_@

hope for the best....

and today i wasn't planning to go out but ended up went allllllllll the way to Yuen Long to pick up my b-day/x'mas/new yr (and whatever) gift :P so here's how FAR i went all the way for the gift:



it's REALLY FAR (and it cost me as much from Nan Cheng to Yuen Long vs. Sai Wan Ho to Olympic City). but i guess it's cool to ride the "West Rail" the first time gae :P the actual journey isn't that "LONG" - probably around1.5 hrs?

And of course - ALL THE WAY to Yuen Long wor, must get some "hand letter" la :D

hahahahahah (and it taste GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!) kekekekeke

Thanks my dear friend for the gift :D and auntie and uncle walked me alll the way to get wife biscuit after we had afternoon tea - u know i have no idea how to get around @ YUEN LONG ma :P and i already have 2 of them as my dinner tonite at work (the one on the left is banana "go")

and since it's "on the way" from Yuen Long back home... so stopped by at work and ended up staying there for like 4+ hrs... i guess probably b/c i've nothing better than do gwa?! @_@''

so anyway, got home after mid nite - and checked out my new toy - no, it's NOT a game - as i complained that my notebook is so hot that i can pan fried an egg *seriously!!* SO, my friend got me this:



it turns out really COOL - i mean it does really cool down my notebook.. it said it's 1.6lb but it's very light to me - and now i can really put my notebook on my lap! kekekekeke.. and best is that it's powered by USB - no extra outlet's cable is needed!!

bravo~~~~ i'm happy kekekekeke

Oh, one more "happy" thing - since i've already worked today - i can go out and have fun tomorrow and really enjoy the weekend!!! yeh~~~~~~~~~~~~ :D

Reading..

so my dear friend gave me this as new year's gift :D it's "low b" stuffs.. but it can really crack me up when i was heading home from work Friday nite

and today before heading to work (yeah, OT on a Sunday afternoon - me me mou mou didn't get to work until like 5)... Anyway, decide to read one of Wong's book 寶貝，只剩下我和你, which I got when i went to Taiwan last time


First i read 王文華 was his 蛋白質女孩 (ha, also got it from Taiwan.. that was back in... 2003?), 蛋白質女孩 2 was only so-so - so haven't really read any of his other works since then. This time went to Taiwan (Oct 2007) - only got a few books and 2 of them are written by Wong.

This one actually written back in 2003... each topic is only like 2-3 pages - i used to hate this short essays but I enjoyed wong's very much - some times i guess short, and sharp to the point is just enough (ha, maybe i'm just getting old!?) :P one of these is actually posted on the web:

Happy New Year all~~~~~~~~~~~~~

it has been quite a drastic year 2007 for me:

• 3 jobs in total!!! working hr started from 10am -> 9 -> 8:30!! X_X well, other than starting off a lot earlier, i guess the most valued lessons i've are:
  
  • Money isn't the MOST and ONLY important factor
  • Leadership really matters, i need to work harder to catch up the time i've wasted :(
    
• no more MBA anymore, but enrolled in a professional cert. program. Half way done! (at least something done!) keke
• new computer (although it's way too hot for a laptop) V.V
• Biz trips: 1 trip to EU, 1 trip to China, too bad no Africa! (wait, have i mentioned - i missed my flight so i miss the chance to go to Brazil?! :(
  
• Leisure trips: US (chicago, detroit / niagara falls), Taiwan (kaoshung, kenting), oh, macau X2 (w/ wittybb!)
• 1st time in my life someone said he thinks I "want to get marry soon" and i was totally puzzled?! hahahaha
  
• elvin in hospital for 5 days :(
• whole apartment allllllll by myself whenever it's wkend / public holiday (well, i don't know whether it's good or bad).. anyway....
  
• more than half of the yr i've to pay extra for my phone bill >.< *1000 min / month is just not enough wakakkakakaka*
• Drinking "gatherings" during x'mas - i think it's a tradition now.... hopefully it can be carried out next yr as well
• marjoh countdown *last nite* haha, i do have fun (it was like ... a few yrs since i last play marjor!!) no, no gambling, but i did have fun. hahaha.. thanks yekini, ah chun and gret to spend the new yr countdown together... it was fun!!! i think we should make it as a tradition as well :P
• I'll be aunt next yr! (okay, it can't really count as 2007, but i know about the news in 2007) hahahaha
  

okay i'm sure there's a lot more to remember in 2007... yet i need to get going for now :D maybe blog later la :D
