Japanese food!!! :P

gosh, i had THREE japanese meals in 2 days! (yesterday lunch w/ Martin, then dinner w/ Dave & tonite dinner w/ mom!!

not that i'm a big fan of Japanese food - never am - just happened :P

Actually i was so happy dave can squeeze out some time to have dinner together - i can't even remember when was the last time we've dinner together! We used to go out for fine dining sooo often that i'd refer him as my "eating buddy"....

but then he head off study in US... starting his biz... this and that, seldom see each other anymore... but still cool to get together once in a while :)

at least we can break through the official generation gap limit (MORE than 1 generation gap between us!) hahahahahahaha.. oh what can i say, i'll just say that he's too MUTURE for his age (i'm NOT going to say that i just feel young..)

hehehehehehehee

dinner w/ mom tonite - pretty much b/c i'll be heading off tmr... she loves that jap rest in Wan chai, kinda like our "default rest" whenver we're out... food is nice...

anyway..... just finished packing... geez.. i forgot to bring my ticket w/ me - so i would probably need to go back to the office before chking in

>.<

better go and get some sleep while i can...

H2O2

Hydrogen Peroxide, needed in many chemical process, can also be used as bleacher/disinfector in household scale...

so, i fell pretty bad today.... and after packing (dusty task!) i need to clean my wounds REALLY good - i really don't wanna get any weird infection during my stay in Africa.... so I got the H2O2 that sat in the cabinaet forever to "disinfect" myself... geez, that hurts - yet, i think it hurts less than I thought - at least less than I remember!!

Is it b/c i grown up so my tolerant level grows? I can't remember when was the last time i use H2O2 to "disinfect" wounds... must be when i was young - when forced by dad. I remember it was terrible.. (and i don't know whether it REALLY help!!)

Nevertheless there's no choice back then.. and tonite I chose to do the same thing i used to do - and figure out it wasn't "as bad"...
anyhow.. i'm sooooo not ready for tmr's trip.. *sigh* i hopefully the flight tmr nite won't be full so i can sleep through...

P.S. actually now i think again it didn't hurt as much is probably b/c that H2O2 is totally expired - as it's consider to be "reactive" most of the "O" will loss to air if it contact w/ air too long... hahaha.. so i don't think my tolerance level has really gone up - just that the H2O2 itself isn't as reactive/effective as it supposed to be XDDD heeheheee

1st Trip to East Africa - Fiscal Yr 2005 - 06

So, I'll be heading to East Africa the first time in this fiscal year - yeah, not the first time in my life, just the first time in the fiscal yr - hmm.. I don't know... for some reasons I don't feel too good about this this time... for the on-going daily operations (so much to do - I've new orders EVERY DAY!) @_@' I... I don't know how things will be like when I'm away from the office for 10 days?!

Well, to look at the brighter side actually this trip shall be fun - a lot of "first timer" this time - first time to go to Uganda (and all by myself!), first time to Tanzania... first official customers' visit (by myself)...

I can just see sooner or later I'll be sooo tired of all these travellings :P but hey, I'm still looking forward to go to Moscow & Spain - ah! and maybe some time in the future I can return to Bucharest and meet Ovidiu ;)
I'm just thinking - 2 more Africa Trips (East Africa this wk & West Africa in early Aug) I'll be heading for my TWO WEEKS VACATION - back to US!! :D

Alright, as my friend always said, I probably thought too much! hahaha... it's time for bed (or o/w I'll be late again for work tmr) :P (actually I need to get up a bit earlier tomorrow morning - to give Elvin a bath before I head out)

:P

Lost SMS...

I just made a TERRIBLE mistake today - for all the $ and trouble I've gone through to get a new number w/ the new phone...

I've been using the "old" phone number for... since I came back... together w/ the old ericsson T68 phone. Before I changed to this new SEk750i, ppl are wondering why in the world I'm still using the old "golden" color phone - totally worn out, out of dated...

I kept telling them it's b/c I never find THE perfect phone to replace it... which, partly is true, but the other major reason that I didn't change phone / service provider is b/c I don't want to lost ALL the SMS msg I've sent / received - for the last few yrs...

So finally after all these yrs my current SIM card can take / save no more additional msg... and I've found my "perfect" phone to "move on"... in fact I just got it a wk ago. I also got a new phone number - such that the old number can still be "alive" and that all the SMS can be saved...

But the new toy was mulfuntioning - and I think I better take it back when it's still w/in that "7 days" trial... so I took it back to the shop for replacement - but darn it, I hate myself, I didn't back up the SMS w/in the last wks TO THE NEW SIM CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it's fate?! the more I wanna "save" and "treasure" and at the end all SMS sent/received w/in last week are GONE.

ALL GONE...

I felt so depressed.. some friends said "suen la", it's just SMSs... they don't know how much these little text msg meant to me... sigh...
maybe it's really time for me to "move on"..

P.S. and it felt terrible when you walked around Mongkok ALL BY YOURSELF - such a big contrast when the whole place around is so crowded w/ ppl w/ happy faces & you're all alone... I'll never go to Mongkok by myself.... >.<

TV Episode - Chong Sai Kei

So in the last few months whenever I'm in HK I'll stay up until 1-ish (am) to watch a TV re-run - Chong Sai Kei - when it first aired I wasn't in HK (I think I was in Purdue)? so for me it's the first time I watched this...

as a matter of fact I heard from somewhere that this is one of the "most-popular" midnight re-run for a long time...

so tonight's episode is talking about how Chow Siu Fan recover some of her memory (she lost her memory due to a car accident)... the part that kinda 'catch' me is that she remember the "good" moments she had w/ Yip Wing Tim (Law Ka Leung). I don't know what exactly happened to make them separate (I think I missed the show when I was in Korea back in April??) Nevertheless the POINT is that she can only remember the "sweet time / feeling" that she's w/ him... but then Law Ka Leung told her that actually they don't really have a good ending so separated... actually her current bf is Cheung Chi Lak (Kuo Tin Lok). They love each other so much that she had done so much & scarfice for him but now she had no clue whom he's...

Well so, I think that is kinda similar to all these online journal / or even all the "Dear dairy" thing - so many silly stupid things I've jot down, but then forget all the "daily" stuffs... Yet I think it wouldn't be a bad idea if one can choose what to remember & what to "delete" from the "hard disc" deep down, just like Chow Siu Fan...

Always have a thought - to be something like... what's that movie w/ Arnold in? That technology can erase "part" of your memory... of your choice. You can have the option to erase certain individual... for the "good" part of the memories (as "good" always led to "bad" on the other side)...

ah, yes, it is "Total Recall"

Anyway, I think I've watched too many movies / soap opera. Afterall soap opera is soap opera, it must exaggerate so much from real life in order to keep its audience...
i'm just glad i've what i've now - and luckily most of the stuffs i "remember" are the "good" parts (and bad parts tend to "forget"), guess it isn't bad then?!

Shopping....

Took a day off for someone's birthday and spent the WHOLE afternoon walking around APM for shopping - my gosh, i just realize shopping can be so exhausting!!! (and money burning!) hahahahahahhaa

actually i can't remember when was the last time i spent so much time in one mall (and visited so many stores inside a mall)... Glad it's NOT one of the "regulars" :)

Happy Birthday my friend.

Grandma...

so grandma is in the hospital, again.

Last few years hospital is just like another home for her, getting her into the ER last Sat - actually on her birthday - was kinda terrible. Actually every single time she went into the hospital kinda scare me - not that I'm "black heart' or things like that, I just know that it could be her time any time... it can happen to anyone anywhere any time... but I still feel very scared to loss her.... sooner or later I know it'll come - it's just been so long since I lost grandpa.. I'm not sure if I'll be able to go through it any time...

I went to the hospital yesterday... she was still feeling ill, better than the day she got in the ER though. all of a sudden I don't know what to say to grandma anymore. seeing her so "helpless" and I can't do nothing... seeing her so weak made me felt so "sour" from the bottom of my heart... she asked me things, just like every time she see me, what I do at work, when will Ceci come back.. things like that... just many little daily life thing. But then she couldn't eat much, and after a while she got so exhausted that she need another rest.

Reminds me of the dying Morrie in "Tuesdays with Morrie". I kept telling myself she's NOT leaving that soon, but then, just like Yoda said, "life & death is just part of life"... I should learn how to accept it as part of life...
:(

Mom went to the hospital today... she said that grandma looks better today, still didn't eat much, yet talk a lot more, asking this and that.... one of the "scary" thing is that she kept saying there's a kid sitting on the opposite bed - while in real it's just a old lady/guy (can't really tell as she/he has an oxygen mask on) . that's scary, like those mentioned in the movie - dying ppl seeing spirits and things like that. Of course I told mom just take it in an easy way, just kidding & things like that. You might say superstitious we're, yet I know deep down our hearts we don't feel comfortable about this.

I saw mom's eyes are kinda red when I got home.. I ain't sure if it has anything to do with this....
All of a sudden I'm afraid to keep my mobile off (my number is the 2nd on hospital's contact list after mom's). I'm afraid the hospital might call or sth like that. I'm scared....

I remember a long time ago when I was back in Purdue, it was a wkend morning, I called grandma (used to call her once a wk when I'm not in HK - how ironic?! I called her more frequent back then than I'm physically in HK now!) Anyhow, I remember that morning I called grandma and she was feeling sick - and I just totally upset b/c mom was not in HK, and stupid uncle has no where to be found.. I was so worried about her b/c no one nearby can take care of her that moment - I remember I called ed - of course that's not much he could have done, but having someone to talk to did comfort me I guess.

I just hope grandma will be okay.....

Boilers Gathering...

It was great to meet. At least no matter how time & one's life change we all have one thing in common - we're all Boilers (at one time) and it just feel so free - no pressure, to chat - even though it maybe the first time we met, we don't have to worry about whatever you're doing in life..

it's interesting to know it used to cost only USD500 PER YEAR; it's excited to know so many others are still keeping an eye on our school; while the "present" tense is so young and euthastic - and remind me once i was in their position. (and i didn't know Purdue has exchange program w/ local university - and HK has internship for Purdue students!) wow....

It's cool to catch up with Sarah, and never realize Anf is such a friendly dude to chat with, while meeting Ed & Low Dai is always making the warm heart feeling just like meeting family members who's staying so far away (physically). :)

I should have spent more time w/ the seniors - but i'm sure there'll more chances to come.

Felt so relax - ha, maybe afterall it's the WINE that is working (hahahahaha, actually i didn't drink THAT MUCH, i was just kidding!) The only BAD thing is that I forgot my camera home *stupid me!* but oh well, someone else did so that's cool. afterall i should focus on things that is happening OUTSIDE the camera :)

(AND not to mention one more bad thing = i've to work tmr!) hahahahahahahhaaha

Trip to Japan

Got a very good deal of flying HK Tokyo round trip @ $1980... wanted to just get out the place SOOO BADLY!! But then on one side i don't want to be in places that is so crowded with ppl?!

But then, so much hurdle other than just the location - budget is any problem.. *sigh* i think i should just dropped the idea & "concentrate" on my US trip.

:(
