Farewell to my dearest son Elvin

今天把 Elvin put to sleep - he was born Nov 2000, 臨終13kg， 享年16.5歲

約咗Dr Frank 因為過去一個月Elvin skin and eye  problem 未有改善。見完Dr Frank he said elvin's後腳傷口除非做手術先有機會改善，但康復唔樂觀。。。

本來叫醫生開了止痛藥，希望能與你多聚幾天，但真的不忍你繼續比蟲咬，不忍見你的傷口令你痛得一拐一拐，不忍見你急促下降的體重，不忍見你看不見東西胡亂地撞，對不起，當天是我決定以為搬入嚟坪洲你可以開心啲，多d時間玩，卻忽略了你未能適應這新生活。對不起我真的不忍再見你suffer，我真的只是希望你開心，舒服。真的感激有你在我回港後一直伴隨。 you will be very missed.  I miss you a lot already.  一路好走。永別。

Old TV...

A crazy day at work (how rare that is!)  and went straight home right after work.  Cooked +吃過蝦子海鮮炒年糕便做回我的 couch potato for the rest of the nite until 23ish to take elvin for a walk.

NO HOMEWORK, no dinning out, actually, kinda nice and enjoy the "quiet time" :)

it's not too hot hot but it's humid and rain all day long.  after walking elvin all misty and sticky so took shower - and "relocate" my activity center from the couch back to bedroom - wah! haven't be in bedroom before 0030 for a long time - and suddenly feel very fortunately (and grateful) that i actually have a tv in the room and just like another working station. :))  here's the TV in my room:

when was the last tie u see this type of BIG TV?  actually i didn't buy this - to be exact, i "inherited" this from grandma - she got this long too long before she past away, and that's like the only thing i insist to mom that i wanna keep from grandma.   

didn't realize grandma past away for almost 7 yrs already.  Wow, time sure flies, i kept thinking it was only a few yrs back.  I do miss her a lot, from time to time.  :(

having elvin sleeping on the other side of the room makes me believe i live happily even now.  Grandma, don't worry, i miss you but i'm living happily now.

THINKING to go to bed and settled Elvin in the bedroom... turned off living room's light and yet working on some ppt slides in the dark...

next thing was that Elvin came back out from the bedroom and chk out why i stayed in the living room...
I asked him why he came out (from the bedroom), petted him and asked him to go back to sleep... then he walks slowly and go back zzz into the bedroom..

from time to time he really drive me nuts, but at the end of the day, he does, understand what i said :)

Life will be tough when it's his time to leave  :(

A relaxing (and marvelous) wkend!! :D

So, i couldn't insist on my "瀟灑" and ruled by the heart for the whole wkend since Friday! *LOL*

Anyway didn't do much during Sat. - catch up some sleep as usual!! *LOL* Did go out dinner w/ Marco & Ken to con't the tutoring centre discussion. I think we'll "go" for it, just a matter of putting things down (and pay)...

Next "Board Meeting" is on Sunday, will see how that goes...

and for Sunday I did get up "early" b/c a machine phone call from 3 V_V~ Don't you just hate phone service provider's cold call?!?! grrrrrrrrrr~~ Anyway, so FINALLY i did vaccum my place! WAKAKAKAKAKAKa, and done loads of laundry as usual (don't understand how in the world i've so much laundry to do every wk - although, i don't mind as doing laundry is one of my favorites housework!) kakakakkakaa)... SO ANYWAY, was thinking to meet up w/ yoyi -> Kim but "last minute" arrangement so missed meeting yoyi... *oops* OH well....

While bringing Elvin for a walk around 2ish (before i go out!) found that the weather is just so marvelous that i couldn't resist to bring him for a little walk by the harbor :) Ha, although the walk was cut short XDDDDDD

After tea @ MK went to Kim's for dinner - felt very speical as i'm the only one having dinner w/ her and her parents (LOL) i guess kim cher isn't that mad at me! kekekekeke~~ seeing her w/ her parents reminds me i haven't have dinner w/ mom for a long time lor @_@''''

Oh WELL~~~

Take off early and got home around 11-ish (yes, kim's place is way too far out! *LOL*) Oh, wkend is just way too short!! we should all have a THREE days wkend! *LOL*

Elvin's vet visit

Well actually i brought him in today b/c he has this little lump on the side for a while. - it was "fine" except in the last wk or so it started to bleed - and it just wouldn't heal / stop! so today I bring him to the vet and see if there's anything can be done.

The other reason I take him in is b/c he has been quite aggressively lately - I'm not sure if it's still b/c of moving to the new place (but it has been almost 3 months!?) or whatever the reason.. i just feel that he's not "normal" / happy lately?!

OR, just that i never have a chance to spend more time w/ him until recently V_V~~~

anyway, so the vet said Elvin may suffer from anxiety - it's NOT going to be cure by itself - only get worse if neglect the illness!?!? The vet suggest to start the medication right away and gave him 2-month supply of Clomicalm. He emphasized it's for temp only and not a permanent solution.

er.... i just know now there's actually medication for dog's emotion problem *LOL*

anyway so I started Elvin's medication once got home and he seems "calmer" - wait, i don't want to "calm him down" b/c he's hyper or anything?! V_V anyway the vet said the first few days Elvin may feel more drowsy. I also read some of the info from the web and feel better (er, at least it's FDA approved!?)

The vet also said that the little "lump" is a common skin problem, one shouldn't worry about it UNLESS it starts bleeding (Oh great V_V).. what we have to do is to have "a small surgery" to take it off, maybe a few stitches @o@

Since we've to put him to sleep in order to do the "surgery", the vet also suggested to wash his teeth as well, Oh, and along w/ a regular blood test (b/c he's over 8 years old)...

sure sure.. just get to the point that don't wanna miss out "anything" - just do everything in ONE SHOT and make sure he's all OK - before it's too late...

I think I start getting the anxiety from him already X_X haha..

Well, for sure it'll be a 4 digit bills waiting for me! (OH NO!!) well, just hope it's not MORE than 4 digits @_@'

Afterall, it's my son, he's snoring now so I guess he'll be just fine real soon :)

A day out w/ Elvin at the Peak

Today's weather was very nice so yekini and I went to the Peak w/ Elvin! I can't believe he has much more energy than us! hahaha i hope he had fun... :)

my son is such a good boy....

i need to take him to the Vet AGAIN this Sunday as after 2 wks of antibodics, he WAS FINE after "confirmed" by the VET a few days again but since yesterday SAME PROBLEM AGAIN!!! X.X

getting worry :~( Elvin you're all i've now - u can't leave me, yet (okok i might think too much and he should be alright as he still eat, play, sleep like normal)... just not sure why the same problem came back again and again V_V''

the lady said it should have wood + hazelnut taste but i can't taste none - i guessi just can't taste much tonite...

Pet Exhibition

After lunch today didn't go back to work - lazy is of course... and really that stupid conversation kept circling and circling... anyway, so went shopping like crazy at the Pet exhibition - not for me of course, it's for Elvin



Total spend: 330 (including the 25 entry fee)... not bad.... at least i don't have to worry about his snacks for a long long time...

P.S. actually it's kinda for work too... but i forgot my biz cards lor @_@;;;

Sleeping in a funny way... :P

so elvin sleeps in the room at nite (with a/c!) ever since he's back home... here's one i took just now - and he sleeps so deeply that he doesn't even notice a thing when the flash went on!!

Elvin's home....

After spending 3 days in the clinic my dear son can finally get home........ although it's ONLY the beginning of the treatment - still have to take antibiotics, and also quite a few #s of skin medicines - but at least he's home - he's finally home...

i think he's still a little upset (ha, have the big "la ba" collar around his neck), but i think he did show some improvement since he left home....

i'm just glad that he's back... back home....

thanks again for all who's pray for him :) i hope he'll recover and show better result on the test 10 days from now...

Day 2 in the clinic...

so today is the 2nd day elvin's in the clinic - got off work and rush to tin hou (tried to get off sharp 5:30 but it's just not possible), anyway, luckily i got there before 6:30 so can still meet son (one weird thing - at 6 o'clock MTR is actually NOT crowded!!! had seats!!)

So anyway... i think i was in a much better EQ situation today (than yesterday) when discussing elvin's situation with the staff (geez)... ANYWAY.. it's not really a troke - but rather the vet suspected he got tick fever - one of the very last things i would like to hear.... Elvin's temperature is still high today, and to the vet tick fever is a lot worse than his skin problem so they've started him off the 20 days antibiotics treatment (and his skin problem will only come next - for now they only got his right palm bandaged with some medicine)...

he is still on 吊鹽水... the dr. said hopefully elvin's body will respond to the treatment quickly... that's the "best scenario" - his temp has to come down, and the blood platelet has to climb up back to normal....

i saw him tried to get up when he saw me.. but he's still very weak...

geez... really heart hurt :( i really hope he will recover and rest there just a few more days.....

Updates - Elvin is hospitalized....

so i maybe half a day late to rush Elvin to the Vet.....

the dr said he's overheated (what's the english word for 中暑 stroke?) I was kinda surprised b/c i don't even bring him anywhere - most of the time he just stayed home!!!!!

and the nurse said that it's probably b/c we only left him sleep in the kitchen at nite (which kinda offended b/c he has been living w/ us like that ever since he was with us - he's not the type of dog from alaska or sth so how do i know he needs a/c 24 hrs???) ANYWAY.. he was still okay 2 days ago, why all of a sudden he's NOT okay?? it has been hot ALL WEEK this wk since last wk, why only now??

the Vet took him in and said he has to be "吊鹽水", hospitalized and "observe"... the nurse said situation is really bad as he's over heated (she claims its' so high that she can't even take her body temperature!) anyway, since he's over heated his blood vessel may also be "amplified" and may cause internal bleeding - which won't know in the until later (is it really THAT SERIOUS!??!?!??!) he can't walk b/c his palms and feet are all infected (due to the high body temp)....

i heard she ordered other nurses to get ready setting up ice pack / cooling towels.....

no clue how long he'll stay, only know we can only visit him daily from 14:00 - 18:00 (who can make this hrs when one has to work!!!) omg... I'm not ready to loss elvin yet.. his toys are all over the living room, what do you mean he's leaving?????? no, i'm not ready..........

life sucks....

don't know why he couldn't stand up - something's wrong w/ his hands.... poor puppy so poor that he can't walk around - usually he jumps all over me when i got home every day... but then today when i got home he just sit there - looking at me - trying very hard to get up - but failed!~~~~

I'll take him to the Dr. tmr afternoon - i JUST HOPE that the Dr. can really help him (to me his palms look pretty normal to me!)
