kinda sad to see it's "gone"... got this last year when i was soooo addicted to Prison Break and just download from this site the next day after the latest episode is out on US TV - i was so addicted that i can't even wait for someone to burn the DVD for me after the whole season...

no more prison break this year, no more torrentSpy, and no more....

some times things / ppl just end together.. as a "full stop" i guess...

CD Review: Alex Fong 我的最愛新曲+精選 2008

Well, all along i thought all the old songs were the original duet version - well, obviously i was mislead by the TV ad and didn't read the label carefully before i got this la - as only the 1st and last song is duet @_@' (oh 1 more 自欺欺人 with Teresa Fu).... As i said i wasn't Alex's fans so kinda disappointed most of the songs are his solo version V_V I'll probably think again (and not buying) if i could choose again.. hahaha

Anyway, maybe i'll like his voice more after listening longer? I think he still need to make his own style.. the new song, 我的最愛, duet w/ Stephy, is nice as usual (i guess i just like the feel of them singing together?)

Shopping Day!!!

OMG i spent so much today!!

well first is that i got a replacement for the notebook "cooling pad" - the one Sagittarius got me "failed" as the connection doesn't work - and my notebook is burning hot so finally got a replacement (but i'm just trying out now and for some reason it doesn't work as good as Sagittarius' law) V.V

well, then i got Sammi's DVD and Alex Fong's new CD

I wanted to got Sammi's since like last Nov as my own birthday gift but didn't get it until now :D and for Alex one.. i never really LOVE his song but good as k song XDDDD and it's a "new+old" songs so i guess HKD95 for 2 CDs is okay :)

Big Bleeding blood!!!!! hahahahaha...

After shopping did spend a bit time to study... didn't get much done but at least got some study done (haha).... And then watched Charlie Wilson's War at Times Square.

I'm kinda surprised as originally it was on US theater since Dec 21 - i.e. a THREE months delay showing in HK!! (and it will come out on DVD 4/22!!) I should have waited :P well, usually i don't like war related film - well, actually i don't really know it's about "War". :P LOL

I would give it a 7-8 out of 10. Well, bias as i'm always a big fans of Tom XDDDD i mean, the movie isn't excellent excellent, it's alright. I think probably the storyline / script isn't strong enough? I think the actors (Tom and Philip Hoffman) did a great job (to make the movie less boring?!) yet Julia Roberts is really a "flower vast" (not much acting required?)... if u know what i mean. (side note: probably doesn't worth $70 to watch though - i'll never watch movies at Times Square!!!) X_X Anyway, back to the movie - I LOVE Charlie Wilson's ending quotes when it talks about the US spent billions on the war - while refuse to spend 1 million in building schools

Of course i don't know whether it's true or not (come on, it's just a metaphors), yet i think we should have less war in general....

Desperado - The Eagles

was featured in tonite's finale of 華麗一族 - well frankly speaking I never really follow this Japanese series - TRIED hard at the beginning (as featuring 木村拓哉!!) but really not into this "oldies" drama... anyhow, the ending is really sad. hmmmm.... enough of sad things i guess :(

I finally understand...

it doesn't really matter, it's not necessary to hide away - it doesn't really matter whether i exist or not anymore...

all along i'm just too "naive"... i know i think too much... move on move on i know i need to move on....

Tonite's treat - Gewürztraminer

so last nite went out for a "grand" dinner w/ a friend - and tonite since i didn't make it to class and got home around 2130 (a bit early) so stopped by the nearby wine shop.

Was looking for a white wine from Chile (had it last nite at the restaurant and quite good).. but they don't really have one so pick this up instead (their recommendation)

Gewürztraminer, 2006, France

I've no idea what type of grape this is but recommended by the store lady - her comment is it has a "lai chi" flavor (smell only, not taste), not dry, sweet yet not too fruity.

Turned out i like it quite well (well, after chking out wikipedia Gewürztraminer is an aromatic white wine grape variety, has high natural sugar and the wines are usually off-dry, with a flamboyant bouquet of lychees. Dry Gewürztraminers may also have aromas of roses, passion fruit and floral notes.) Very nice indeed!! I mean, it's a bit too sweet (if drinks alone w/o food), but i think if have it w/ meal the food's strong taste may "cover" the light flower / fruit smell/taste. Love the flower (or lychee) smell/taste, which the stick around quite some time - so u drink less in certain way.

HKD178 (about USD20). Not bad at all. Quite nice to drink it after dinner and gathering w/ friends...

Definitely should go to the wine shop more to try out different "favorites" :D

Edmond X Ronald - with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra

It has been quite some time since i went to last concert in the Hong Kong Coliseum...

Tonite went to the one w/ Edmond and Ronald. Both of them are my favorites (okay, i like edmond more) haha... and so was quite excited for this...

i think the overall of the concert is nice. Personally like the 2nd half > 1st half as it sounds more like the thing i expected (pop cross over w/ orchestra), while i don't like the heavy electric guitar by joey tang in the first half (it just somehow doesn't fit!) But maybe as my friend said the orchestra probably doesn't have enough time for rehearsal for this 3 nites event or sth so need the electric guitar and modern band to "cover up" for the first half (who knows). Anyhow, 2nd half is great. Personally LOVE 艦隊, 好朋友, 纏綿遊戲, 披頭四, which i think is well mixed w/ the orchestra....

(ops, i can't really remember which one from Ronald's is good XDDDD)

I think i should go to more Orchestra.. very nice (and feel peaceful) to listen in live....

P.S. wonder if they'll get the DVD out?

Niagara Falls...

was up a bit late tonite and wrapping things up - and suddenly TV shows some old rerun travel show (5-10 min - made in 2004) - and the destination is Niagara Falls....

anyhow, so was so busy and occupied for the whole day (busy for nothing?!) anyway, still make it to dinner w/ Bz though :) (20 min late) XDDD actually asked her out as her birthday is coming up tmr so want to meet up and catch up a bit. I had such a great and relaxing time dining w/ Bz. She can always take up whatever the stupid things i blah blah blah w/.... at the end of the dinner she also give me a gift - i was like WOW, i should be the one who's giving out gift to her as it's her birthday....



i feel so blessed :)

after dinner i decide to go back to work (as tmr have to meeting and "lost" half a day).. just want to catch up before it's too late (again)... so got back to work around 10 and didn't leave until after 23:45 @_@... 2nd nite in the row that i'm taking taxi home sucks V_V''' i need to change that i need to change that....

ANYHOW, mom is in bed already when i got home (as usual) :( but then i found the parcel ceci was talking about earlier.... and ANOTHER WOW:

Busy...

soooo busy at work today (payback for not coming to work during wkend).... so exhausted that i don't even have to think of anything... which is good i guess... well, guess i'm just not the "multi-tasking" type of brain as i can only focus on 1 thing at a time??

well, not until i'm on the way home lor... but anyway, thanks for dear friend to have dinner w/ even after her exhausting class (oh, not to mention i didn't make it to class today.. *Sigh.. not b/c of whatever is bothering me (come on....) just work....

Pet Exhibition

After lunch today didn't go back to work - lazy is of course... and really that stupid conversation kept circling and circling... anyway, so went shopping like crazy at the Pet exhibition - not for me of course, it's for Elvin



Total spend: 330 (including the 25 entry fee)... not bad.... at least i don't have to worry about his snacks for a long long time...

Purdue...

today went to lunch meeting w/ the Purdue folks... i don't know, maybe this is called "meeting?" Identifying a leader is easy, unfortunately the leader will leave the group...

OH WELL

happen to see Little E & WF's picts from recent visit of Purdue. it's the same old school, yet so much have changed, i mean, I guess the feelings still the same when u look at the buildings or stuffs... but no matter it's hardware (so many new buildings), or the "software' have changed so much... it has been 8 yrs since I left.... probably a good time to call for an end as well..

i don't know what is the triggers this time. i don't know whether i feel sad or not - i think i feel disappointed for something i shouldn't expect at the first place, and which i know a long time ago. Weird is that this time i began to think - geez, it'll be a hell load of works to get rid of all the picts... (probably half of my album collection can be emptied?!)... i guess it's a good "beginning"? i don't know... time to use the "once new" MSN again...

my "therapist" asked me what advise i would give such that the situation / me would feel better - but after circling and circling the conclusion is that that's nothing much he can do to make me happy - b/c afterall the fact is the thing that make me disappointed. no alternatives. My opinions may be valid , temporary, maybe he's retrieved his true feelings, not worrying too much and tried to work things out... just maybe...

hmm... i don't really know what to say... some times the "feeling" seems like "gone" I mean, the feeling of "isn't right" comes more and more often, but things like when u want to tell me things aren't quite on schedule... well, just a mixed feelings... when i was watching Lydia's funeral.. in one of the past interviews she's mentioned "愛情是短暫, 感情/親情是長存的".... it has been so many yrs, maybe that's why...

well, i don't really think i've pressure on this wor.... i did think about it and wonder if i should still go for my MBA... but then i think not??

ANYWAY..... i took Elvin for a bath at the nearby beauty shop today.. so now he smells so good! hahah... er... what else... hmmmm.. lately i ate TONS of this... too addicted to the point i've to quit buying or i'll eat all! hahahahahaha

i really want to go for a vacation but then no vacation time V_V; this yr i wanna go to Orlando.... but then no company :( i'm also thinking of doing Lasek....
