A note from Chicago - well, close enough :P

well so this is the "2nd" morning I'm in the States...

A recap:

Sat nite - dinner at MAGGIANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the famous stuffed mushroom!!! (i had TWO! wakakkakakaka) too bad vick & daniel can't join b/c they're on Atkins (so poor!) hahahahaha



too full for tiramisu though :D

Then spent a nite w/ Vick and Daniel - so glad they take me in - i don't even remember when was the last time vick and i really sit down sit down and talk? probably like 8/9 yrs ago? MY GOSH... i've know vick and the gangs for 10 yrs.. and she's getting marry on Sat! Trust Daniel can take good care of her... very happy for the couple!! :)

Then yesterday - Sunday - woke up WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY early for a SUNDAY BREAKFAST - that's right, a BREAKFAST, NOT BRUNCH @_@''' but it's nice to spend some time w/ vicky & daniel gae :D

Afterward - brunch AGAIN - but then i only had 2 ORANGE flavor coffee (too full ma).. turn out quite okay woh - and the whole store just smell soooo orange kakakakakakaka

then had a LONG walk around downtown chicago and lincoln park - actually the weather is quite nice for the walk (just a bit hazzy)

ha, probably DONE the "walking quota" for the week - if not month :P

Then we head for the boat Architect Tour It's super cool - i mean, sitting there and just see Chicago's skyline :) i've taken so many picts ;) just a bit scary whenever we go under some bridges (when cars are driving above us!!) (and one thing i remember from the tour guide is that chicago is one of the cities which has the most "workable" bridges - like 55 something in town

and before the day's end (well it's like 7-ish by the time we finished the boat tour - but the sky is still "bright" why bother dinner?!) hahahahahahahahhahahaa... anyway - to "fullfil" another request of mine - we went for DEEP DISH pizza




it's like one of the chicago's most favorite - but as the rest said - deep dish is only once a yr - just too rich XDDDDDDDDDDD

Thanks again jc and HIS "Cloud 9 friend" - got a great time in Chicago - i think i do have a much better impression of Chicago than before - things are just so convenient - and have whatever type of food you wanna have. the city has both the busy side (business-wise), but at the same time one can always just go to Lake Michigan for a relaxing weekend....

or just that i'm more adjusted to city life now than 7 yrs before - so i like chicago more now than then?

I don't know... maybe.....

P.S. Oh have to mention i'm watching Chinese channels here - the commercial is just UNBELIEVABLY funny wakakakkakaka...

P.P.S. glad can have some rest today - gosh my feet still hurt today :( i hope it'll be better when i head to Purdue tmr ;)
