Misc & Family Reunion (Part1)~~

Skipped work today - well, have headache (well, nothing new), but since i've exam tonite so i just skipped work and just 'studied" (i did really study ga!)

Grateful it's open book, o/w i won't get 10 pts! (even open books it's tough... it's a LONG exam - like starting from 19:45 to 21:30!!!!) ANYWAY, after exam I just rush to dinner - family reunion dinner.

I don't even know when was the last time we have some many of us gather together around the dinner table - to be exact, i don't think once *in my life* - as i think this is the ONLY time in my entire life to have dinner w/ Auntie Nancy, Auntie Amy & Auntie Connie, Uncle Michael and Uncle Hung altogether.

missing family members - Auntie Angela (and her fmaily), oh, and of course, my dad, which i don't think they'll make it anyway - at least not the one w/ me & my mom in...

Anyway, looking for Part 2 of the family reunion - dinner for ALL COUSINS this coming Sat - w/ niece too (wait, 2nd cousin i should say!) haha

In some sense I guess one won't treasure family reunion as much if family reunion is too "easy"...

Lately I begin to wonder if I'm REALLY a Scorpio.... hmm... like I think I've a pretty good "feel" of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Pisces and MAYBE and MAYBE Capricorn

But what exactly is a TYPICAL Scorpio like?!

Some times I think I'm as spontaneous/extreme as a Gemini, but then when it comes to decision making can be as troublesome as Sagittarius... (hahahahaha) sometimes I think I act like a Virgo to think deep w/in myself but when it comes to "action" I act like speed of thought Pisces' thought (but I, of course, can't speak / respond to as Pisces as fast... and act w/o "head" is definitely a BAD thing)...

jealously, definitely a "typical Scorpio".... is "hard neck" one of Scropio's characteristics (oh, let's put it on a more positive way - INSISTENCE) hahahhaa... what else what else?

maybe after all I'm just a rotten Scorpio - or a person with all horoscopes' rotten characteristics XD

I don't think I'm #3, nor #4... #5 okay gae (except that i'm blogger now as i worked until midnite last nite)... but then I'm a typical Scorpio so can't do #6, and also the jealousy part of a typical Scorpio couldn't really practice #7

so lately my mailbox was STUFFED with responds from cousins all over the world (well, just put it this way - HKese in my generation has their relatives pretty much every where in the world as most of them immigrated to other places berfore th 97)... Nevertheless, many of my cousins are planning to come back visit in the next 2 wks so we'll have a family gathering (for the cousins).

although i haven't met most of them for 5-10 yrs (geez, really getting old)... when it comes to "blow water" we still can blow like good old days (haha)... just then when it comes to 'marriage' i just couldn't quite "fit" in and couldn't really "blow along" - OH WELL, guess it's still funny to get this out from one of the cousins who married (not too long ago!?) - and also from my younger sis who just married for a bit more than a yr :P

For the GUYS out there... i think you'll be happy to read this which has fwded from one of my cousins Derek XD

I can't wait to see my cousins after all these yrs - sometimes i kinda "regret" that i missed the chance growing up with them....

So tonite Pearl has Forrest Gump on - i already lost count of how many times i've watched this movie (pretty sure > 10 times!) hahahaha... of course, it's my all time favorite. :)

just that - every time when i watch it (even now) i felt something... "different" - it's the thing that "echo" / "tiggle" your life...

I guess one just feel (and value) different things in different part of his/her life....

P.S. and definitely the sound track is a big PLUS - every time i hear the sound track i just feel so much more "peaceful"... i have the sound track & DVD somewhere.. hmm.. need to dig it out :P

Puzzle 2006

I'm so glad i only got the small one (500) - kept me up until 05:30 already! XD (i know i know i'm so "slow")

I think nite time is a good time to do puzzle though - as you don't have any calls, won't be occupied / distracted by TV shows...

Karaoke Marathon 2006 XD

it has been a LONG time since i had a karaoke marathon w/ gerry & see fu - as a matter of fact, a LONG time since we last went to sing k together (as see fu doesn't like to go)...

had been hanging out w/ these 2 ex-ASAT crew quite a bit in the last 2wks - well, since gerry is going to leave in ~April she'd started out a "project" w/ us - to go visit all the places she wanna go before she takes off. Started w/ dinner & fortune telling last wk in Temple Street, and this wk is k...

Actually they ain't a big fans of k - yet karaoke is no doubt one part of our activities together - also part of HK culture these days.... we've sang soo many songs (mostly me! hahaha) - as a matter of fact from 08:45 to 01:30! my gosh! even more hard working than work!!!!!

one interesting thing to go sing k w/ them is the type of songs they would choose is totally different (and non-canton-pop)... hahaha.. i think we spent AT LEAST AN HR singing all those oldies English songs (from Backstreet boys to Britney spares to Celine dior) XDD

I think i can sing better in English than in Cantonese wakakakakakakkaka *see fu suggest me to go try backup singers!)

it's just fun to hang out w/ them - although i know such occassion is not likely to "happen" again in the future - it's actually kinda sad that she'll leave so soon (and in perm basis)...

it has been quite some time ago when it comes to departing w/ good friends (probably since i left US?!) i don't know... i think it'd be hard :( although i know it a long time ago... still i think it'd be hard not having a clos friend like her in the same town...

i think i think too much again... better just enjoy the time while she's here in HK

Valentine's Day...

so today is Valentine's Day (Feb 14, 2006)... no no no, not much planned as i've no VALENTINE.... don't feel SAD anymore! wkakkakakaa... i just read my blog from last year (Feb 2005)... i think in some sense i feel a bit "relax" at work - or i should say "fa" (adopted to the pace).. i don't know... for better or worse....

don't have SMS message this yr - but hey, got cookies instead (Mrs. Field's)... SOOOOO YUMMY!!!!

Don't know why once in a while i just couldn't sleep peacefully.... hmmm...

maybe i'm too "excited" about the resignation of ms. trouble?! hmm.. i don't know.. she's just a "joke" after all - one of her many "innovative" quotes like "As a freiend..." or "I think you should really do/fight xxx for me"... really make me wonder where in the world she came from (or where in the galaxy)

Unbelievable.... i guess it's a learning experience for me.... (at least i can have a break now)....

maybe i'm not feeling well? actually i usually can sleep quite a bit whenever body is running down - had a big flu just like 2 days ago.... but this time couldn't sleep well!?

well, i also talked to Ceci last nite - talked to her for MORE THAN an hr.... i'm so glad we talked... another "unbelivable" experience from her junior high schoolmates (sending wedding invitation TWO DAYS before the ACTUAL WEDDING - which is ON A SAT?!).. and this maid of honor (who's mailing the invitation) doesn't even CATCH that time is NOT enough?! UNBELIVABLE! ANYWAY.. glad it's not MY best friends getting marry :P

and make me to wonder again - why it's just so difficult to DIG these so-called "COMMON SENSE" out of these ppl?! i just expect "normal" average ppl should THINK of it....

what else i did in the last few days... hmm.. very busy at work... kinda feel like back to those ASAT time.. which i'm not too comfortable with - tired of 'window/actual shopping' at Watson's or Manling only (as other shops are all closed)... hmmmm... and can't foresee any improvement in the next quarter. SHIT.... and i think i've neglect LONG enough of my baby Elvin...

oh, and tomorrow (Feb 4) is Wan Lak Heng's wedding, actually need to get up EARLY to see the ceremony @ Shatin (geez, need to get up even EARLIER than work - @_@'') oh well, what can i say?! once in a life time thing one just can't put off :P hehehehe.. me, gerry, john & jenny though of a FUNNY gift for the couple - ha, maybe take picts late XD (kinda low b)
