Notes from....

notes from where?! well, doesn't matter, i'm on the road anyway~~ hahaa...

so yeh, i've been out of station mostly for this month... just finished spending the past 6 days in Nairobi and arrived Dubai last nite, so, here's a little something happened during this trip so far...

• Weather - from the coldest weather to the hottest: It's winter in Kenya now (the south hemisphere). Day/Night time temp is ~20/13C; while it's THE hottest time in Dubai: Day/Night is ~ 46/34C - AND have i mentioned - i've the same set of clothes?!
  
  it's SO cold that we didn't wanna go out at night b/c we didn't wanna leave the HEATER and it's SO hot that i didn't go out b/c it's just melting hot outside now!!!!!!!
  
  
• Food: Out of surprise i don't have much Indian food - i think I've Indian Chinese, Kenyan Chinese, UAE's chinese more than any other cuisine - oh yeah, not to mention, the Lasagna that I had on Friday kept me FULL from 3pm to 11 pm man.... I think i won't have that for quite some time XD
  
  
• Room & Board - Stayed in the guest house in Nairobi & Holiday Inn in Dubai: Frankly speaking other than lack of sufficient shower jet pressure and no internet collection i LOVE the guest house > hotel a lot more - u know, got a maid to do the laundry EVERY day... a driver...... and NO CHARGE... OH, and a roomie too - everything everything, just feel more comfy in Narobi
  
  
• Having a ROOMATE - gosh, it has been a LONG time since i've a roomate - and believe me, it's TOTALLY TOTALLY TOTALLY weird XD I don't know, maybe it's really that i'm getting old, or just tired of colleague = roomate => bored to death => just ran out of "space"! hhahahaha... endless talk (whatever BS that is) AND TRIED to get DRUNK (yeh, just tried, didn't though!) hahahaha... oh oh oh, and not to mention I was actually watching those chessy doggy cheap Friday nite movie with a ROOMIE wakakkakakakaka.. JUST CRAZY!!! Glad don't have to do it that often. Sometimes i think it's hard to maintain a professional partnership while getting very cloes in personal level?! Anyway... On the other hand though, being alone in the hotel is kinda boring...
  
  
• Customers visit vs. Suppliers visit - doesn't really matter which way to go first - just have to make sure to take ENOUGH time to be in between - this time is defintely TOO SHORT and NOT productive at all. BAD BAD BAD *oh well what the heck, i'll still see if i can sneak out and see Dubai

Anyway, heading home in about... 3 days.... can't wait :P *and will go to see softhard w/in 24 hrs once i touched HK* XD

• 9 interviews - in ONE DAY
• it's not a common question to ask "what's ur weakness/strength", while a common answer of "i've no weakness" @_@''
• ppl don't ask for salary - whatever you tell them they'll accept (what?!)
• tu-tu is just too bumpy, one get wet when it rains, AND you've to hold on TIGHT as i kept saying it's the same as a roller coaster - other than the loops

• Taxi doesn't have AC, period
• Indian food is just too hot, even though i dont' have THAT much, i still wanna vomit whenever i had too much =6
• Shopping for books is always GREAT (USD60 for 8 books!!) wow!!! i know i know, i'm a shopoholic when it comes to books... they've TONS of Calvin & Hobbes... i hope i didn't have double XDDD (and i'm sure it'll be VERY HEAVY when i'm going home)

• i'm tired... one of the most demanding biz trip :(

Bali Bali Bali~~~ Vacation & Reunion with a long time friend

So, i'm back from the paradise (and as my friend said "welcome back to hell") hahaha

had such a tremendous time during the last few days~ my gosh, sure i miss the sunshine and beaches and hotel and... lots of things... but on top of course the great time spending w/ Clem - those endless talks and FUNNY things happened in the last few days will sure become some of the "highlights" we'll remember & laugh with in our next "reunion"..

• it's sooooo nice to go on trip with a friend who works for an airline XDDDDDDDD (immigration, hotel, logging.... just name it XDDDDDD
  
• Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, BALI - all the same - that's why they classified as the "3rd world" XDDDDD
  
• both of us are "over" the age to go to tourist spots - more treasure of the nature & cultural stuffs :)
  
• The bed in Hyatt was wet when we get in the room *wakakkaa*
  
• Woke up in the middle of the nite (3+am!!) by mosquito - in a 5-star hotel!! (and more talk until 6-ish) - just for the record i ain't the one who complained!! XD
  
• they will give you DDT (instead of the insane thing) for mosquito! wahahahahahha
  
• i'm not THAT picky - it's just a matter of having standard in life! XD
  
• If the hotel is good you don't need to go anywhere else searching for fun
  
• it's just nice to sit in room's balcony and read (even though i might have brought the WRONG book - too much thinking XDD
  
• Club Lounge become our canteen
  
• Spa is just a gimmick afterall - and an expensive one! Milk bath isn't really exactly having bath with MILK V_v; (and definitely can't save that USD20 to go for "couple" package") hahahaha
  
• I did things that i can actually do in HK - just that the "vacation atmosphere" make me more enjoy la - from golf to tennis to spa~~ hahaa
  
• common sense isn't that common at all; not to mention it's even more difficult to find someone who has common sense to work with
  
• it feels GREAT to catch up w/ GOOD OLD friend - & those endless talks
  
• it also feels GREAT to just sit and do nothing w/ your GOOD OLD friend :P
  
• it's not the place you visit that matter - it's WHOM you go with that makes the difference

As a matter of fact i took LESS picts during this leisure trip - i guess it's b/c i ain't going by myself this time (has company) - and that i treasure more things happening around me rather than just taking picts :)

oh i miss the beaches, sunshine, waves, spa..... and the time spent w/ my dear buddy! :)
